Introduction

In my "Mind’s Eye" AR experience, I wanted to captivate anyone intrigued by the intersection of technology and literature, creating an immersive journey into the transformative power of words.

This project explores imagination and creativity through dynamic visuals, including rotating quotes around a human portrait, representing how words shape our mental landscapes in diverse ways.

Inspired by Mendelsund's ‘What We See When We Read’, I designed it to be appeal for a broad audience, focusing on the connection between text and imagination. The interactive elements, filled with metaphor and symbolism, invite users to actively engage, offering a personalized experience that encourages a deeper exploration of literary themes.

Design Features

Metaphor
The rapidly rendering floating cube represents the multifaceted nature of imagination, aligning with the book's exploration of diverse thinking processes.
Analogy
The rotating quotes sphere likens the process of reading to a tornado or a portal leading to different metaverses, emphasizing the transformative and expansive nature of reading.
Symbolic
The cube and tornado of quotes symbolize the diversity of ideas and perspectives in our mind when reading, enhancing the symbolic representation of the book's core content.
